Organise your week-end shopping in Geneva

Geneva is splendidly located on the shores of the Lake of the same name, the biggest in Europe, and it can be reached by the principal European low-cost airline companies and many high-speed trains.

A few minutes after your arrival in Geneva, you are already in the centre of town and your week-end shopping can begin. More information...

At your hotel, you will find a complete folder, prepared by the Geneva Tourism & Convention Bureau, containing all the useful documents, including the CHF 60.-- voucher (valid 24 months) to be spent at the Globus department store in the centre of town.

Are you arriving on Friday? Shop to your heart’s content all over town until 6.30pm in the shops or 7.30pm in the department stores.

Are you arriving on Saturday? All the stores are at your disposal between 9.00am and 6.00pm (5.00pm for the shops).

We do, however, suggest that you take a few moments to join the locals on a stroll around the various "Saturday markets" which have many specialities to offer. Do not miss the market in Carouge, an old Sardinian town city with an easy-going Mediterranean atmosphere, just 15 minutes by public transport from the centre of Geneva. A real moment of relaxation, which could also be punctuated by discoveries in the shops, because Carouge is famous for its small "with-it" shops.

Will you be spending Sunday in Geneva? Now there is an opportunity to enjoy the lake or the splendid Geneva countryside or to visit the many exhibitions, in particular on Calvin, because this year Geneva is celebrating the 500th anniversary of his birth.

Cruises, guided tours of the tourist sites, walking excursions, bicycle tourism and so much more. One day will certainly not be enough! No doubt, you will have to come back again!

Reservations, payment and cancellation conditions

Reservations

The reservations can be made only through the Geneva Tourism & Convention Bureau up to at the latest 1 working day (Monday to Friday) before your arrival, according to availability.

Payment

The payment is to be made by credit card, directly at the Geneva Tourism & Convention Bureau.
Accepted credit cards: Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, American Express.

Cancellation conditions

The amount paid includes all of the services included in the fixed package. Any additional services are to be settled directly with the hotel upon departure.
Any change or cancellation must be announced exclusively to the Geneva Tourism & Convention Bureau. A CHF 20.00 charge will be made for any change or cancellation made from the day of the reservation up to 3 working days preceding your arrival. At the end of this period, and according to the hotel’s conditions, the total amount of the pack-age could be forfeited or partially refunded.
