Created in 1854 and regularly enlarged and embellished, the English Garden, which skirts the left bank of the lake, is one of Geneva’s most lively parks.

Alpin Garden

Rock gardens, watercourses, a pool with aquatic plants, pergolas, a rose garden in the shape of a rose, plus a park with goats, chickens and ducks make up this refreshing, green area.

It was developed at the beginning of the 20th century in Meyrin, on the outskirts of Geneva.

This alpine garden provides for many pleasurable moments: a stroll through its shaded paths to encounter 3,600 species of plants, a visit to its Villa, known for its exhibitions of contemporary art, then entering the garden’s glasshouse, where a whole range of arts, from painting to sculpture and dance to theatre, are promoted.

Another pleasure is to attend the many open-air festivities and concerts organised here in the summer.
