Treat yourself to a fishing trip in Geneva

Schedule:
Fishing the Lake and tasting your catch in a restaurant

Enjoy a day (or half-day) with an angler in the magnificent harbour of Geneva and learn all of the tricks of the trade for successful fishing. At the end of this outing, a restaurateur will be waiting for you to prepare your catch so that you can taste it. Bon appétit!

Dates: All year long (the possibility to catch different fish all year long)

Price per person:
Fishing outing: CHF 70 per day; CHF 40 per half-day; fishing licence for the day: CHF 10 (children under 16 years old: CHF 5). Picnic not included.

Maximum of four people. For more than four people, you can take two boats out.

Location (meeting place): 11 quai Gustave Ador (last landing stage before the fountain). Possibility to board at the port of Versoix, 200 metres from the Auberge du Lion d’Or.

Right-bank restaurant: Auberge du Lion d’Or, 21 route de Suisse, 1290 Versoix.
Opening hours : Monday-Saturday : 9 a.m.-midnight, closed on Sunday. To help prepare the fish: starting at 1:30 p.m. for lunch and 6 p.m. for dinner. Closed in January.

Restaurant: CHF 30 per person (preparation of a plate of fish that is a maximum of 400 g, chips, salad). Drinks, dessert, not included.

Rafting on the Arve River

Rafting down the Arve River (whose source is in the Mont Blanc Massif), a chance to take in Geneva and the surrounding countryside at the same time.

Rafting in Geneva city centre? It's possible! In an inflatable raft for 6 to 10 people, you will cover the 8 rambling kilometres and 6 waterfalls of the Arve River, which crosses Geneva city centre to flow into the Rhone River.
