Vivarium de Meyrin

Vivarium de Meyrin

Passion for reptiles.
Come and observe superb snakes, lizards, crocodiles and turtles from all over the world in their natural environment.

Three young people with a passion for snakes created the Elapsoïdea Association (named after a snake from Africa) in 1979. Its objectives: education, the conservation of species and collaboration with scientists.

In 1982, it acquired the status of cultural foundation and continued its activities in Switzerland and France. However, the volume of work undertaken required a far more important structure and larger premises. The vivarium was thus completed in 1992.
